We believe that it is important to focus on academics but need also to focus on the fact that we are social beings. We can only obtain academic excellence when we feel secure in ourselves and around others. As a result, we promote many opportunities to explore emotional and social growth. Examples include PaTHS, Roots of Empathy, Virtues, Zones of Regulation, Mindfulness, Circle of Courage, etc.
We also accommodate numerous extracurricular programs via various community agencies. (Bridges, Boys and Girls, Big Brother and Big Sisters, Hope Mission, Hockey Heroes)
We have a very active School Council which contributes in many ways towards developing an environment within which all students feel accepted and possess a desire to learn.
Penbrooke Meadows School is on the modified school calendar.
Students are engaged in many residencies and interactive performances throughout the school year.
Grade 5 students can participate in the Annual Diversity Cup (soccer).
