The community of Palliser is located in the southwest quadrant of Calgary. Palliser neighbors the communities of Oakridge and Pump Hill.

This community was established 1967, there are over 3,000 residents in this community and is a highly popular community for its history with Captain John Palliser, an explorer and surveyor in Canada being accompanied by a botanist, doctor, astronomer, and an artillery officer to be in an expedition to survey land mass between Lake Superior and the Pacific Ocean. The community offers many recreation opportunities including boat docks, Weaselhead Flats hiking trails, Glenmore Park and the Heritage Park.
